Faculty Art Show at Fox

A view of the Lindgren Gallery that is currently featuring some of my work.

There is a Faculty art show up currently at the Lindgren Gallery at George Fox University in Newberg Oregon.  The wonderful scope of the work represented reflects well the broad range of talent and diversity of our faculty.  I encourage you to check the exhibition out if you can.  There is graphic design, fiber arts, book making, painting, ceramics, watercolor, photography and mixed media.  The work will be up through the end of the year.

I put in four of the new montoype/collage/gouache pieces with their frames made of salvaged lumber. I was happy with how the frames integrated with their images.  In the end the wood surfaces came out well with all their quirks and imperfections.  Even though the lumber did break the front windshield of my car when transporting it the frames redeemed that tragedy by looking mighty fine when cleaned up a bit and receiving a good coat of varnish  (see Sept. 22nds post).

Hope you can get out to see the show!

Had the chance to see the art show last Saturday. “Mighty fine” indeed! Love those quirks and imperfections! I appreciated all the artwork there and hope that many more can visit.
    God bless
